After 2 days of voting on the new proposed Collective Agreement,
Between KINWU & Invista (Canada) Company
We have counted all ballots cast, and are able to, at this time inform the membership of the outcome.
The membership has agreed to ACCEPT the proposed agreement, and shall be ratified January 28, 2010, until termination in January 27, 2013.
We thank every one whom came out to vote, this was the largest percentage NO vote ever cast in our history.

Rumors today about a high number of voters. Hopefully that is true. The more people that voted, the better.
Great job done by the Union bargaining committee. Thanks for all the hard work, very much appreciated.
Can you post the percentage split and how many members voted in total?
Thank you for all of your time and effort that you put into the negotiations. Although the wording and new additions to contract are not at all what I would have liked to see, I apprectiate the effort. I hope that with the amount of no votes that were had, the next contract will include better language and incentives($) for the spinning.
