November 22, 2024
Dear KINWU Members,
It has come to our attention that there are rumors circulating suggesting that the Union is encouraging members to vote in a specific manner on the Memorandum of Settlement. We want to be absolutely clear: these rumors are false.
Throughout all of the meetings we held, we emphasized that we believe the settlement offer we negotiated represents the best offer we could receive from the Company. However, we also made it clear that the decision to accept or reject the settlement lies entirely with you, the membership.
We respect your right to make an informed decision based on your own perspective and priorities. Any suggestion that the Union leadership is directing members to vote yes or no is simply untrue.
We encourage you to rely on the facts presented during our meetings and to reach out directly to the Union Executive if you have any questions or concerns about the settlement. We are here to provide clarity and support, ensuring that every member can vote confidently and informed.
Please do not let rumors distract from the importance of this process. Your vote is your voice, and we trust in the collective wisdom of our membership to determine the path forward.
In solidarity,
The Executive
